Here are five sources for dog house kits that I've found that offer a variety of nice dog house kits.
Blythe Woodworks offers cedar dog house kits. They are all the same basic design but available as small, medium, large, extra large, giant and "Godzilla" sizes. Plus, there is a Cedar Duplex. the site includes a helpful sizing guide and offers free shipping. The cost of these cedar dog houses range from $109 for the small size to $320 for the large size and $649 for the "giant" dog house.
I believe this site may be your best bet for a dog house kit as it offers so many different kits from which to choose. It is currently featuring (and I do like this) a Modern Mansion Dog House Kit that normally sells for $349.99 but now can be purchased for as low as $199.99 with free shipping.
This site shows 24 other dog house kits that range in price from $85.89 to $399.99. So, if you don't like the Modern Mansion, try the Pooch Manor, Cozy Cottage, Bungalow or Pet Chalet or any of the 20 other kits.
Pet Street Mall says it "offers a wide selection of Dog Houses. Each of our Dog House is made of the highest quality materials. We guarantee the lowest prices on all of our Dog Houses. Plus we ship all Dog Houses for FREE."
The Kit Guy sells both dog house plans and dog house kits. The site says "For doghouse kits, you can choose from a variety of affordable sizes and styles to pamper your canine companion. There's a barn-style doghouse, the typical garden-style design, or choose a kit like the Canine Condo that boasts a front porch and scalloping around the roof line."
However, I found this site a bit confusing and was never able to find any actual kits. Instead, it has only links to other kit manufacturers.
This site, titled Custom Insulated Wood Dog House Kits, features small, medium, large and extra large wooden dog houses. The costs range from $189.95 for the small dog house kit to $579.95 for the extra large dog house kit. Free shipping is included in all prices. I liked this site because it offers only one style but lets you choose your exterior finish (siding) and roof materials, including asphalt roofing materials that are guaranteed for 20 years.
HiTech Premium Pet Products says about its dog house kits, "We utilize exceptionally strong structural panel technology and state of the art insulation technology to obtain an industry leading R-19 insulation value. This design affords exceptional structural rigidity and temperature stability for your dog home."
The site shows dog houses in two standard styles, two duplexes and what HiTech calls "Custom Doghouses." The two standard styles are built of cedar. The custom doghouses are available with siding, Brick in various color or Random Rock, also in various colors. A small custom dog house costs finished with siding costs $199.95, while the extra large in Random Rock is $599.95. The least expensive dog house kit is the Simply Cedar which goes for $199.95 in the small size and $299.95 for the large house.
